Sandy Hook Promise

 Sandy Hook, CT-  As everyone is aware, there has been a major increase in gun violence especially in schools. Sandy Hook was one of many that experience a school shooting.  On December 14,2012, a school shooting happened at Sandy Hook Elementary school killing 20 children and 6 adults.

Over the years, Sandy Hook has been finding ways to help put an end to not only gun violence but also school shootings. This is where the Sandy Hook Promise happened. The purpose of the Sandy Hook Promise is to inform not only kids but also adults of the use of gun violence so that no one else would experience what they went through. They recently released a video on gun violence safety.

Many people see the video as inappropriate because of the stuff that was shown but it is really an eye opener. This happens everyday as sad as it it. The more we know of what is happening, the more we can find ways to put an end to gun violence. That is the main reason for this video; educating not only kids but adults who do not know what to do in these situations. This video made everyone aware and now maybe something can actually change.
